Blazing Skull is a Marvel Comics character, first appearing in *Mystic Comics #5* (1941) during the Golden Age of Comics. There have been different versions of Blazing Skull in the Marvel Universe.
The original Blazing Skull, Mark Todd, was an American journalist during World War . He encountered a race of beings known as the Skull Men while seeking refuge in a cave during a bombing raid in China. These beings granted him immunity to fire, and he gained the ability to ignite his own skull, using these powers to fight against the Nazis.
Essentially, Blazing Skull is a patriotic superhero with pyrokinetic abilities and a fiery skeletal appearance. He is one of the many heroes from the Golden Age that Marvel has occasionally revived and reinterpreted in more modern stories.
